By using FreeFinancials.com or any related subdomains, you agree to the terms on this page. The goal is simple: keep the data open and the rules clear.

Key Terms

  1. 1. About the Service

FreeFinancials LLC (“FreeFinancials”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates FreeFinancials.com and related subdomains such as Insiders, About, Privacy, and Terms (collectively, the “Service”). The Service normalizes financial data from public sources, primarily SEC EDGAR filings.

  2. 2. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using the Service in any way (including browsing, viewing data, or clicking links), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and by our Privacy Policy at privacy.freefinancials.com. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

  3. 3. No accounts, no payments

You can use the Service without creating an account and without paying any subscription fees. We do not ask for names, mailing addresses, or payment information to access the core financial data. If this ever changes, it will be clearly marked and updated in these terms.

  4. 4. Not investment, tax, or legal advice

The Service is for informational and educational purposes only. Nothing on FreeFinancials should be treated as investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice. Decisions about buying, selling, or holding securities should be made with the help of qualified professionals who understand your situation.

  5. 5. Data sources and accuracy

Most financial data displayed on the Service is derived from SEC EDGAR filings (such as 10-K, 10-Q, 20-F, and related statements) and other public sources. We standardize and transform this data so it is easier to compare across companies and time.

We aim for high data quality, but:

    • Data may lag behind the most recent filings or restatements.
    • Issuer tagging differences, currency conversions, and mapping choices can create small differences versus company PDFs or investor-relations sites.
    • Errors are possible despite best efforts.

You are responsible for verifying important numbers against the original filings before relying on them.

  6. 6. Permitted use and rate limits

You may use the Service to view, analyze, and reference the data for personal, academic, or business research, subject to these rules:

    • Do not attempt to bypass caching, scrape at extreme volumes, or overwhelm the infrastructure.
    • Do not use automated tools in a way that harms performance or availability for others.
    • Do not use the Service for any illegal activity or to violate securities laws or regulations.

If needed, we may block or throttle traffic that appears abusive, unsafe, or clearly automated.

  7. 7. Intellectual property

SEC filings themselves are public records, but the way FreeFinancials processes, normalizes, presents, and organizes the data (including layouts, visual design, text, and code) is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws.

    • You may not copy the site design, branding, or code for your own competing service.
    • Bulk copying or re-hosting of the standardized data may require a separate agreement.
  8. 8. Third-party services, links, and ads

The Service may contain links to third-party sites and may display third-party advertisements (for example, Google AdSense). These third parties are responsible for their own content, policies, and practices.

Your interactions with those services are governed by their terms and privacy policies, not by this document. We are not responsible for any loss or damage arising from use of third-party sites or services.

  9. 9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. This includes, but is not limited to, implied warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FreeFinancials LLC and its members will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service or reliance on the data, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

  10. 10. Indemnification

To the extent allowed by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless FreeFinancials LLC from any claims, losses, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.

  11. 11. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may update or change features, data coverage, or infrastructure at any time, including suspending or discontinuing parts of the Service.

We may also update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” line at the top of this page. If you continue using the Service after changes take effect, that use means you accept the updated Terms.

  12. 12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which FreeFinancials LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be handled in the courts of that state, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

  13. 13. Contact

If you have questions about these Terms, you can email: FreeFinancialsLLC@gmail.com.

  14. 14. Plain-language note

This page explains our terms in straightforward language so it is easier to understand. It is not legal advice. If you need legal advice about how these terms apply to you or your organization, please speak with a qualified attorney.
